For at least the fourth time in about two months, a food deliveryman for Skip the Dishes was the victim of a robbery or attempted robbery while making a delivery in Buffalo, according to city police reports.
The latest robbery happened at about 3:10 p.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of Crescent Avenue. The victim told police he handed food to the thief who then punched him in the face, took the food and ran into a house.
Another man had exited a nearby house and stood nearby during the robbery in order to intimidate him, the victim said.
A deliveryman was shot in the face with a BB gun while making a delivery on the 100 block of Berwyn Avenue on Nov. 4. The food, phone and vehicle of a delivery driver was stolen Dec. 2 on the 100 block of Houston Street in South Buffalo. A knifepoint robbery happened Dec. 21, also on Crescent Avenue.
