Cheektowaga man, 28, gets jail time as repeat drug offender

A Cheektowaga man on Thursday was sent to jail for a year for a series of drug-related convictions, said Cheektowaga police.

Michael R. Richardson, 28, was first arrested March 22 after police found drugs and drug paraphernalia during a raid on his East Grand Boulevard residence. The house had been the scene of several overdoses, police said.

Richardson was arrested again June 14 after he was found passed out on a neighbor's car and in possession of cocaine, police said.

Cheektowaga Town Judge Paul Piotrowski said he imposed the one-year sentence after considering Richardson's criminal record and his disregard for rehabilitation and probation.
