Medical Campus tour draws 40 expats despite the cold

The brisk cold didn't keep about 40 expats away from the 120-acre Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Wednesday.

The nonprofit organization overseeing the campus hosted a “Home for the Holidays”event and tour led by BNMC President and CEO Matthew K. Enstice. The tour was aimed at Western New York natives now living in other places with the hoping that some might consider moving back home for their next career or to start a business.

The recent openings of John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital and University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences are the latest major showcase projects to come to fruition on the campus.

Buffalo area natives from a variety of places including Washington, D.C., Boston, Oregon, San Francisco, Florida and Austin, Texas, checked out the campus Wednesday morning, first meeting at the Innovation Center on Ellicott Street.
