[BN] Blitz newsletter: Terry Pegula laments NFL replay system after overturned touchdown

Bills owner Terry Pegula publicly criticized the NFL's replay system Tuesday, two days after a disputed review took a touchdown away from the Bills during the second quarter of Sunday's loss against the Patriots.

"I don't know what's going on, but we have to fix it," Pegula said. "... If you gotta look at a play 30 times from five different angles and keep looking at it and looking at it and looking at it, you go with the call on the field; [that's] what the league's been doing ever since replay started."

Bills coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that he had spoken with the appropriate people within the league about the call and was "still at a loss."

Bucky Gleason: Too much emphasis is being placed on the Benjamin call, and not enough on the Bills' poor play.

Cadet, Holmes placed on IR: The Bills placed second-string running back Travaris Cadet (ankle) on injured reserve, along with receiver Andre Holmes (neck). They also released defensive lineman Deandre Coleman, and added three players to fill their roster spots. Cadet vowed to come back stronger in social media posts.

Bills offense hasn't scored a second-half touchdown in five weeks: The Bills have struggled to score in the first quarter for most of the season. They've been getting better in that area ... but now they can't score in the second half.
