A Gerry man was arrested on multiple felony charges after surrendering to officers following a violent domestic incident Saturday morning, State Police in Jamestown reported.
Richard T. Sendall, 33, was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
Troopers, responding to a walk-in complaint from a 31-year-old woman that she and her young children had been forcibly restrained at gunpoint, surrounded Sendall’s residence on Wilson Street and convinced him to surrender after negotiations. The children were not hurt.
Troopers said Sendall said he was having a medical emergency during processing. Following treatment in WCA Hospital, he was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
