A shooting in the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood of Buffalo sent one victim to the hospital while police apprehended two individuals near the scene for marijuana possession.
The male victim was shot in the leg at about 11:10 p.m. Saturday night near 230 Herman St., and was transported in a private vehicle for treatment at Buffalo General Medical Center. Buffalo police did not give the man's age or current condition.
But while officers were investigating the shooting nearly an hour later, they not only found a single shell casing in front of the address, but also two men hiding inside the vacant building there, with about 8 ounces of marijuana and $349 cash, according to police reports.
Dwayner Walker and Juatin Jenkins were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. No ages or addresses were provided by police.
