Homeroom Announcements: Saturday's big games & more

We know there's no homeroom today. But we're up and ready to go.

What to watch for Saturday

1. Boys basketball - Health Sciences at St. Francis, 7 p.m.

No. 1 small school Health Sciences takes on host St. Francis, the No. 5 large school, for the tournament championship.

2. Girls basketball - St. Mary's of Lancaster at Franklinville, 2 p.m.

No. 2 small school Franklinville hosts No. 6 St. Mary's for the tournament title this afternoon. The consolation game at 11 a.m. features No. 7 Holland and honorable mention Portville.

3. Boys hockey - Kenmore West vs. Williamsville East, 3 p.m.

This game between between Division 2 foes is the middle game on the feature rink at Northtown Center. Starpoint and Williamsville South play at 1 p.m. and Bishop Timon-St. Jude and reigning state champ Williamsville North at 5 p.m.

4. Track & field - C/D & B/E meets at SUNY Fredonia

Teams from all four of the aforementioned divisions are set to compete at SUNY Fredonia today. The C/D Meet starts at 8 a.m. and the B/E Meet at 1 p.m.
