What to watch for Friday

1. Boys basketball - Williamsville South at Amherst, 7:30 p.m.

No. 6 large school Williamsville South visits No. 8 Amherst for part one of the Battle of Main Street. The South girls won at Amherst yesterday, 63-50.

2. Girls basketball - V-Mercy at Sacred Heart, 6:30 p.m.

No. 5 large school Sacred Heart hosts Section V power Mercy in the top girls game on today's schedule. Mercy owns a 62-47 win over Amherst, the No. 4 large school.

3. Boys hockey - Kenmore East vs. West Seneca East, 7:30 p.m.

West Seneca East looks to improve on its 4-0 record when it faces Division 2 foe Kenmore East at the Northtown Center.

4. Girls hockey - Amherst/Sweet Home/Clarence vs. West Seneca/Hamburg/Eden, 5:30 p.m.

CASH (5-2-1-1) heads to West Seneca Ice Rink for a matchup with WS/H/E (1-5). CASH beat Williamsville yesterday, 1-0.

5. Track & field - A/F Meet at SUNY Fredonia, 5 p.m.

Teams in the A and F divisions compete at SUNY Fredonia this evening.

- Boys basketball: Cathedral Prep (Pa.) at Canisius, 6:30 p.m.
- Boys basketball: Dunkirk at St. Francis, 7:30 p.m.
- Girls basketball: Albion at Newfane, 6:30 p.m.
