A husband and wife from Wilson pleaded not guilty this week in Niagara County Court to an indictment accusing them of teaming up to burglarize two homes in Ransomville Sept. 29.
Christopher R. Empson, 40, was arraigned Monday, and his wife Barbara J. Empson, 41, entered her denial of the charges Tuesday. The Lake Street couple allegedly entered homes on Ransomville and Youngstown-Lockport roads.
Christopher Empson also was charged with a separate break-in Jan. 16 at a home on Mountain View Drive in Lewiston. Last year, he was charged with possession of property stolen from a Niagara Falls pawn shop and served nine months in jail, Assistant District Attorney Ryan K. Parisi said.
