MERRY MUSIC – The Amherst Chamber Orchestra will offer a holiday concert, “A Classical Christmas,” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Performing Arts Center at Trinity United Methodist Church, 711 Niagara Falls Blvd., just north of Longmeadow Road, Amherst.
The program includes Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” along with a medley of carols and a singalong. Admission is free. Donations are appreciated. For more info, visit acemusic.org.

HUMBLE BEGINNING – Marantha Baptist Church, 43 Academy St., Mayville, will present a musical, “The Child of Love Was Born,” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. All are welcome. Refreshments will follow in Fellowship Hall.

GIVING BACK – Teaching and Restoring Youth Inc., a social service agency in the former Holy Name Convent on Buffalo’s Far East Side which offers food, shelter and education to homeless young women aged 16 to 24, presented three Founder’s Awards at its recent 20th anniversary dinner in Statler City. Awards went to the WNY Doll Club for contributions of personal care items, Tom Fontana for his financial support and Sally Tower for her many years of service.

REUNION ALERT – Members of the Cleveland Hill High School Class of 1960 will hold their monthly gathering for coffee and conversation at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Wegmans Cafe, 5275 Sheridan Drive, Amherst. Alumni from all classes are welcome.
