A Clarence man faces a felony grand larceny charge after a family member reported more then $3,000 was taken from his home, according to the State Police.

Jason Alberti, 20, was arrested after the victim reported the missing money on Monday, according to police. Small increments were taken over a period of three months, the victim told authorities.

The family member told police he noticed Alberti made several purchases "that were beyond his means," police said.

Alberti, who police said admitted the thefts, was arraigned in Alden Town Court and released after he was given a future court date.
