NIAGARA FALLS – A man known locally as "Kenny Krack" became irate after being denied holiday handouts at a 19th Street convenience store early Sunday, and began cursing at customers and upending displays.
Police were called to the Coastal gas station at 5 a.m. after receiving reports of a man destroying things inside the store. By that time the alleged offender had left in a car, but officers caught up with him a short distance away and charged Kenneth J. Hall, 28, of Linwood Avenue with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
According to reports, Hall entered the store asking for free items and gasoline, and was upset when a clerk told him that was not possible. The clerk told police that Hall, who he knows as "Kenny Krack," started swearing at everyone inside the store, then tried to come behind the counter to pick a fight. He was prevented from doing so, but then threw display items about the store, destroying $14 worth of pastries in the process.
When told to leave, Hall became more enraged and upended more displays before fleeing, said police, who also learned Hall was wanted on four outstanding warrants in the city.
