Buffalo man sentenced after pleading to heroin possession

A Buffalo man was sentenced Friday to five years in prison for heroin possession, according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office.

Erie County Court Justice William M. Boller sentenced Brayand Nazario, 26, of Royal Avenue, who previously pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, the DA's Office said.

Investigators executed a search warrant at Nazario's home and found heroin, drug paraphernalia and $2,760 in small bills. He was convicted in 2011 of felony drug possession, prosecutors said.
