Pendleton sex offender admits to molesting two more young victims

Christopher M. Wright of Pendleton, whose flight from officers trying to arrest him for sexually abusing a 13-year-old Williamsville girl led to a lockdown at Starpoint schools last year, pleaded guilty Thursday to molesting two boys.

Without waiting to be indicted, Wright admitted to sexual contact with a 12-year-old boy in the spring of 2016 and with a 14-year-old boy in the fall of 2016, both in Pendleton.

Wright, 45, of Oakwood Drive, accepted a plea bargain that called for Niagara County Matthew J. Murphy III to choose a total sentence of between 12 and 16 years for the three cases when Wright returns to court Feb. 1.

First Assistant District Attorney Holly E. Sloma said if Wright had been convicted in a trial, he risked a life sentence.
