Three people were hospitalized Tuesday after a box truck collided with a car near 3678 Hartland Road in Hartland, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The crash occurred after 4 p.m. when a box truck headed north on Hartland Road crossed the center line, apparently causing the head-on collision with a car traveling south, the Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies said the car went off the road and into the ditch on the west side of the road.
The driver and passenger in the box truck were taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, authorities said.
The southbound driver, who had to be extricated from her car, was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, authorities said.
Authorities did not release the names or conditions of those involved Tuesday night.
The Sheriff's accident investigation unit is investigating.
