Lake-effect events are nothing new for Steve Tasker. He’s lived in the Southtowns in Western New York for more than 30 years and played in the snow several times during his Buffalo Bills career.
Still, Sunday’s game at New Era Field was a “once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Tasker said Monday during his appearance on The Bucky & Sully Show on 1270 The Fan.
“It was a pretty epic day,” said Tasker, who worked the sidelines for CBS. “In years to come, people are going to wear that game like a badge of honor.”
Despite the difficulties Tasker and his broadcast teammates had, television executives were excited to see the snow swirling.
“I think they wish every game was like that,” Tasker said. “You can’t take your eyes off that. People who didn’t care anything about the game were watching that game because it’s so unusual.”
