McDermott updates status of quarterbacks Taylor and Peterman

The Bills enter Miami week with starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor still being listed as day-to-day with a knee injury and Nathan Peterman in the concussion protocol following a hit to the head in Sunday's game.

Coach Sean McDermott said theĀ decision to keep Taylor inactive against the Colts was "mostly" based on how he was feeling. McDermott reiterated that Taylor is the starting quarterback when healthy.

McDermott said the medical reports that he's gotten so far have him feeling comfortable with the team's quarterback depth chart, meaning he does not anticipate adding another player from outside the organization.

Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin's knee injury is still being evaluated, McDermott said.

As for cornerback Leonard Johnson, McDermott said he would see how the week unfolds.
