When just the titles of your books make people laugh, you can officially call yourself a "humorist."
So essayist and NPR favorite David Sedaris, he of "Me Talk Pretty One Day," "Dress Your Family in Corduroy" and "Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls" clearly qualifies.
Sedaris will bring his brand of comedy to the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts at 8 p.m. April 11. Tickets, which go on sale Friday, range from $28 to $53.50.
The UB news release announcing his appearance describes Sedaris well: "With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, David Sedaris has become one of America’s pre-eminent humor writers. He is a master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers addressing the human condition."
He also is the brother of actress and writer Amy Sedaris.
The Center for the Arts box office is open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Tickets may be purchased at ticketfly.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (877) 987-6487.
