Two report packages stolen in Niagara Falls, one from man's doorstep

NIAGARA FALLS — Police are investigating the theft of two packages, including one which was accidentally delivered to the wrong address.

A Byrd Avenue man told police Friday afternoon that a UPS driver accidentally delivered a $400 tablet he had purchased online to a multi-unit apartment complex next to his house. Officers interviewed several people inside the apartment complex, none of whom would admit to signing for and receiving the package.

Earlier, police interviewed a Highland Avenue man who reported that a package had apparently been stolen off his doorstep sometime on Tuesday. That victim said that he had received an email confirming delivery of the package, but could not find it upon his return home. The package from Amazon.com contained $97 worth of "bundled hair," according to reports.
