Robbery report leads to drug charges on caller

A 29-year-old Buffalo man who called police to report an armed robbery was himself arrested after police found marijuana and ammunition in plain sight in his apartment.

Christopher Miller, of 1271 Seneca St., called police late Saturday night, saying that three unknown people had tried to rob him at gunpoint. He also told officers that the suspects fired one round while in the upper apartment of the house, through the floor and into the lower apartment.

Meanwhile, police saw eight individually wrapped baggies of marijuana on a living room couch and two more on the floor, along with the ammunition.

Miller was charged with third-degree marijuana possession and endangering the welfare of a child. The police report did not indicate the presence of children.

The robbery suspects remain at large.
