The Metropolitan Riveters scored three times in the third period Sunday afternoon for 4-2 victory over the Buffalo Beauts at the Barnabas Health Hockey House in Newark, N.J.
It was the Riveters third straight victory over Buffalo, the defending Isobel Cup winners in the National Women's Hockey League.
Two Metro goals came in three power-play opportunities while the Beauts were 0 for 4.
Jess Jones gave the Beauts the lead at 1:57 of the opening period. Kourtney Kunichika assisted. TAtiana Rafter tied it for the Riveters at 9:03.
Kristin Lewicki's tally at 12:49 put the Beauts back in front in the second, but the Riveters again tied on Kelly Nash's power play goal at 8:25 of the third.
Miye D'oench scored the winner on the power play at 9:29, and Rebecca Russo finished the scoring at 12:24.
Buffalo was outshot, 40-15. Amanda Leveille made 36 saves for the Beauts.
