Buffalo man pleads guilty to producing child porn

A Buffalo man who used his cellphone to record to a 3-year-old girl as she engaged in sexually explicit conduct pleaded guilty Thursday to production and possession of child pornography.

Duke Jimenez, 34, faces a mandatory minimum 15-year prison sentence and a maximum 50 years in prison when he is sentenced April 16 by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, between Feb. 10 and Oct. 27, 2014, Jimenez engaged in sexual contact with the girl, who had been entrusted to his care. Authorities said Jimenez took cellphone depictions of the victim engaging in sexually explicit
conduct. The images were located on the Secure Digital card on Jimenez's phone.

Jimenez was arrested by officers from the Buffalo Police Department on Nov. 18, 2015, at which time his cellphone was seized. A subsequent search of his phone and SD card revealed 18 image files that depicted the victim engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

The case was investigated by the FBI and the Buffalo Police Department.
