Warm clothing wanted for hurricane victims living in Buffalo

More than 400 families displaced by hurricanes in Puerto Rico have come to Western New York, and the Western New York Federal Credit Union and the West Seneca Food Pantry are collecting winter clothing for them.

The following things are being collected through Dec. 31:

  • New socks and underwear for children ages 5-14.
  • New or gently used hats, gloves, boots, scarves and blankets for all ages.
  • Gift cards for Walmart, Kmart, Tops or Wegmans.

Drop-off locations are from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the West Seneca Food Pantry, 51 St. David’s Drive, and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays at the Western New York Federal Credit Union, 1937 Union Road, West Seneca.

Cash or check donations made payable to WNY FCU also are accepted.
