St. Bonaventure basketball player has jersey stolen at team hotel before Canisius matchup

A St. Bonaventure basketball player had his jersey stolen at the team hotel in Buffalo on Wednesday night before the Bonnies' game at Canisius,  school spokesman Steve Mest confirmed.

Mest said the jerseys were laid out by the team managers for the players to pick up after the pregame dinner, but Courtney Stockard's jersey was missing.

Stockard, a junior swingman who usually wears No. 11, wore No. 30 for the game against Canisius, a 73-65 victory by the Bonnies.

Stockard seemed to be taking the incident in good humor on Twitter.

The theft was first reported by Jeff Russo of WKBW.
