Man shot on Sumner Place released from ECMC

A 20-year-old man who was struck by gunfire Monday in the 100 block of Sumner Place was treated and released Tuesday from Erie County Medical Center, according to Michael J. DeGeorge, a spokesman for the Buffalo Police Department.

The shooting, which was described as a possible drive-by, happened at about 7:15 p.m. Monday, according to DeGeorge.

Neither the identity of the victim, nor any possible cause for the shooting, was released Tuesday.
