M&T Bank employees donate bikes to young refugees

M&T employees surprised children at Journey's End Refugee Services with the gift of new bicycles.

About 70 members of M&T's legal division were involved in building six bicycles at a recent teambuilding event. On Monday, they gave the bikes to children whose families recently resettled in Buffalo as refugees from Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Iraq, Sudan and Nepal.

M&T donated the bikes, as well as helmets, to Journey's End, which chose the recipients. M&T partnered with Bert's Bikes and Fitness on the initiative.
