The girl was hit near the intersection of Ontario Avenue and 24th Street at 11:38 a.m., according to Niagara Falls police.

She was riding west on Ontario and making a turn onto 24th when the driver of a vehicle heading east on Ontario hit her and left the scene without stopping, police said. The vehicle was described as a black SUV or crossover.
