Judge Moore cherry-picks Bible verses to suit his own purposes
After keeping a low profile for the past 10 days or so, (golly, gee, judge, why is that?) Roy Moore, Republican U.S. Senate candidate from Alabama, sprung back into action like the lion from Daniel’s cave (Leviticus 1, Chapter 3, lines 3, 7, 9 and 1). At his “Comeback Codger” rally in the humble hamlet of Henagar, the judge vowed to take off the gloves and wage “a spiritual battle” against the “immorality of our time.” He went on to recite from the book of Timothy, “In the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection ... trucebreakers, false accusers.”
Can I get an amen here? I say, can I get an amen here or what?
Just a couple of quick points:
1,) I fit at least 5 of Tim’s end time behaviors (but I ain’t saying which ones. OK, OK. So I’m a trucebreaker. Sue me! But I never agreed to let my wife drive the car so long as she ironed my shirts)
2.) The “immorality of our time” resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
3.) You’ll notice pedophilia wasn’t included in the prophet’s rant (though false accusers was). Judge Moore sure knows how to cherry-pick his Bible verses.
But you know, back then they probably weren’t familiar with the term, creep!
