Teen boys sought for Buffalo Scholastic Rowing squads

The Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association (BSRA) invites high school age boys to join the newly established Team BSRA Boys.

Rowing experience is not required and there are no cuts. Everyone practices and everyone competes. Rowing is a four-season sport and association teams compete locally, nationally and in Canada. Rowing is also a non-contact sport that provides a full-body exercise. There are opportunities for athletes of all sizes.

The team is open to any high school boy who wants to be part of a competitive rowing team and doesn’t have a rowing program at his school.

Informational meetings will take place at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and 10 a.m. Jan. 6 in the Old First Ward Community Center, 62 Republic St.; winter crew practice starts Jan. 9 at the center. Winter/spring dues cost $200 plus a $125 regatta fee. For more information, visit rowbuffalo.com, call 855-1600 or email info@rowbuffalo.com.
