HOLIDAY SOUNDS – The Lewiston Choraleers, a 50-member community chorus directed and accompanied by Donald D. Shrimpton and Pat Kuciewski, will kick off their series of “Celebrate the Season” holiday concerts at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Peter’s Church, 620 Center St., Lewiston, as part of the annual Lewiston Christmas Walk.
They also will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Site, 2966 Independence Ave., Niagara Falls; at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 in St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls; and at 2 p.m. Dec. 10 in Messiah Lutheran Church, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston. MORE MUSIC – The Buffalo Silver Band, directed by Bill Cocca, is featured in the annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. Saturday in St. Nicholas Church, 539 Main St., West Seneca. Doors open at 6. A reception follows. Free will donations are welcome.

 

District IX, Polish Singers’ Alliance of America, presents its annual Festival of Polish Christmas Carols at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Stanislaus Church, Peckham and Townsend streets. Free will offerings will be accepted.

TIME TO SHOP – The Response to Love Center, 130 Kosciuszko St., will offer Christmas decorations, new and vintage jewelry, clothing and toys at a Holiday Treasures Gala Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is $1, free for kids under 12, and includes a beverage and snack. For more info, call 894-7030.

Harris Hill United Methodist Church, 8495 Main St., Clarence, will hold its annual Craft Show and Wreath Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, with a large variety of craft vendors. Baked goods and lunch with homemade soups will be available. Admission is free. For more info, call 632-4688.

SANTA’S DATEBOOK – The Jolly Old Elf will arrive on a fire truck at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for Christmas at the Cabin, an Open House with Santa, at 6765 Taylor Road, Hamburg. There will be live reindeer, crafts and refreshments. It’s sponsored by the Hamburg Rejuvenation Committee, which asks those attending to bring a non-perishable food donation. The arrival of Santa will be a highlight of the annual Christmas in the Park celebration for children 10 and under accompanied by an adult from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Tosh Collins Center in Cazenovia Park. Those attending are asked to bring non-perishable canned food items to donate to the South Buffalo Community Table. Co-sponsors are South Buffalo Alive and South Council Member Christopher P. Scanlon.
