A Niagara Falls man who sexually abused three children returned to prison Thursday after pleading guilty to a felony charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
Raymond O. Fox Jr., 53, of Memorial Parkway, was sentenced by Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III to one to three years behind bars. Murphy said Fox committed "unspeakable crimes against children." He served two years after his 1998 conviction.
Fox needs back surgery and therapy, according to his lawyer, Charles R. Pitarresi. But Murphy said Fox was using his health problems as an excuse to avoid his duties as a Level 3 sex offender.
Fox failed to report to police every 90 days and failed to have an updated photo taken, Assistant District Attorney Cheryl L. Grundy said.
