Two-year sentence for Niagara Falls man in Youngstown apartment invasion

Myquan R. Pringle, who invaded a Youngstown apartment Feb. 17 while fleeing from police, was sentenced Wednesday in State Supreme Court to two years in prison for attempted second-degree burglary.

Pringle, 24, of Fifth Street, Niagara Falls, was there to sell drugs, according to Niagara County Assistant Public Defender Alan J. Roscetti. Second Assistant District Attorney Mary Jean Bowman said the victims denied they wanted to buy drugs and suggested that Pringle's customers may have been elsewhere in the same Lockport Street building.

Sheriff's deputies said Pringle ran after being pulled over by officers who wanted to arrest him on a robbery warrant from Niagara Falls. They said he was armed with a hatchet. Roscetti said the hatchet was in the apartment and didn't belong to Pringle.
