4 charged in suspected Riverside meth lab

Four people were arrested Monday night and accused of operating a meth lab in Buffalo's Riverside neighborhood, Buffalo police said.

Police found 6 ounces of methamphetamine and seven long guns in the home on the first block of Chadduck Avenue, according to a police report. A 5-month-old child was also inside.

Arrested there were Christopher Washy, 31; Rachel E. Staub, 35; and Erin G. O'Connor, 29, according to the report. Charges against them include third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment.

In addition to those charges, Joshua A. Bowers, 28, was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Bowers was arrested at Erie County Medical Center, where he was being treated for burns from a fire at his home on Chadduck Avenue on Nov. 22, according to court documents.

Last week, two men were charged after police found a suspected meth lab on Macamley Street in South Buffalo.
