Lockport meth maker sent to boot camp

Brianna L. Moreland, a Town of Lockport woman who was arrested last year in a raid on a meth lab, was assigned Monday to the state prison system's boot camp-style "shock incarceration" program.

Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III said Moreland, 26, of Fernwood Drive, will face two years in a regular cell and two years of post-release supervision if she fails in boot camp.

Moreland and Jason I. Jones, 35, were arrested June 29, 2016, when the meth lab was found on Purdy Road in Lockport. Moreland entered a court-ordered drug treatment program after pleading guilty, but she failed to complete it. Jones pleaded guilty and is serving a three-year state prison sentence.
