East Side shooting victim in stable condition

A 37-year-old man was  in stable condition Sunday after being shot multiple times on Wyoming Avenue early Saturday night, said Buffalo Police Department spokesman Michael DeGeorge.

The Buffalo resident was shot several times at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday  in the 500 block of Wyoming Avenue, between Maple Ridge and Fernhill avenues. He was transported to Erie County Medical Center, which is about two blocks from the shooting scene.

Police are not releasing the victim's name at this time, DeGeorge said.
