NIAGARA FALLS – A Barker couple who mysteriously passed out while playing the slots at the Seneca Niagara Casino Friday morning reported to police that the man was robbed of cash and casino winnings while unconscious.
The man, 65, told police that he went to the casino with his wife and another woman, and during the morning he won a pair of $30 redemption tickets, which he placed in his pocket. He said that he also had $200 in cash in that pocket. While at a slot machine, both he and his wife passed out, the victim told police. They were transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center by ambulance.
The man told police that when he awoke at the hospital, the tickets and the money were missing from his pocket.
The man told police he did not know why he and his wife had lost consciousness. The incident occurred between 9 and 10 a.m., police said.
