Santa Claus parade kicks off Hamburgh Holidays on Saturday

Hamburgh Holidays kicks off with the annual Santa Claus parade at 11 a.m. Nov. 25 down Main and Buffalo streets in Hamburg and culminating with Rock the Roundabout New Year's Eve.

Hamburgh Holidays is a series of holiday-themed events and the name of the volunteer community organization that oversees the events.

A free children's holiday matinee will be played at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Palace Theatre.

Santa's Workshop opens in the Hamburg Village Plaza at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1, when there also will be trolley rides and the lighting of the star on the village water tower at 7 p.m. The deadline for letters to Santa is Dec. 19. Breakfast with Santa will take place at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 9 at the American Legion hall.

A fundraiser for Hamburg Holidays will take place at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at Juicy Burger Bar, 1 Buffalo St.
