Elmwood Village Farmers Market to move indoors

The Elmwood Village Farmers Market will move indoors for the next eight weeks.

The Holiday Market on Bidwell will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday through Jan. 13, starting Saturday, at St. John’s Grace Episcopal Church, 51 Colonial Circle, a short walk from the home of the outdoor market at Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway.

The winter market had been at SUNY Buffalo State during the past two years.

About 20 vendors will participate each week. They will include farmers, food producers and artisans from across the region.

Holiday music and refreshments also will be part of the mix.

Field & Fork Network’s “Double Up Food Bucks” program will move indoors, as well. The program provides a dollar for dollar match, up to $20, for those on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.
