Two Niagara Falls men, both repeat felons, pleaded guilty Monday in connection to a Jan. 22 shooting incident in the city.
Robert K. Cox, 27, of Walnut Avenue, and Jose C. Rivera, 26, of Michigan Avenue, admitted to felony weapons possession charges.
State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. told both men that he will sentence them to no more than seven years in prison and five years of post-release supervision. Cox is to be sentenced Jan. 16 and Rivera Jan. 18.
The men were charged with firing shots into a home on Cleveland Avenue. Niagara County Assistant District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said the plea deal also settled a separate charge against Cox, who allegedly shot a man in the arm during a May 23 melee on Whitney Avenue.
