1. Tampa Bay Lightning. Through all the goals, it's easy to overlook Vasilevskiy's NHL-leading 14 wins in the net. (1)

2. St. Louis Blues. Entered weekend leading West in wins (14), points (29) and goals (66).  (2)

3 Toronto Maple Leafs.  Hard to believe they could win first four without Matthews. (4)

4 Winnipeg Jets. Surprise of the Central: Shootout win over Flyers extends hot streak to 7-1-1. (9)

5 New Jersey Devils.  Schneider falls two seconds shy of 65-minute shutout of Leafs. (6)

6 Columbus Blue Jackets.  Signed Atkinson to seven-year extension, now on prowl for help at center. (14)

7. Pittsburgh Penguins. As Sabres proved, they have a soft defense they have to shore up. (7)

8. Los Angeles Kings.  Suddenly dropped four straight,  all at home and last three by a goal apiece. (3)

9 Vegas Golden Knights. Neal up to 10 goals in 18 games. (5)

10 New York Islanders. Think Okposo and Moulson still wish they were with Tavares? (17)

11. Detroit Red Wings. Hail, Little Caesars! Team is hot and so is massive new barn. (24)

12. Nashville Predators. Johansen finally breaks through for first goal since March. (10)

13. Ottawa Senators.  At GMs meetings,  Bettman renews alarm about need to relocate arena downtown. (8)

14. Minnesota Wild.  Quick turnaround to season thanks to Dubnyk's three straight shutouts. (25)

15. Washington Capitals.  Had Loss-in-Buffalo-style clunker in 6-2 defeat at Colorado. (13)

16. San Jose Sharks.  Burns still without a goal despite 71 shots on goal. (22)

17. Chicago Blackhawks.  DeBrincat second on team in goals with seven in fine rookie season. (20)

18. New York Rangers.  Six-game winning streak followed by back-to-back losses to Hawks, Jackets. (18)

19. Calgary Flames. As Detroit brawl shows, Tkachuk becoming league's premier agitator. (16)

20. Colorado Avalanche.  Landeskog gets first career hat trick in game No. 445. (19)

21. Anaheim Ducks. Despite all their injuries, still 2-1-2 in last five with only loss to Lightning. (21)

22. Dallas Stars.  Bishop gets nice greeting in Tampa Bay on video board, rude greeting on scoreboard. (11)

23. Philadelphia Flyers.  Gudas is a serial suspendee who should sit for a long time. (12)

24. Vancouver Canucks. Six-game Eastern roadie starts Tuesday in Philly. (15)

25. Carolina Hurricanes.  Had points in five straight games (3-0-2) until loss Thursday in Brooklyn. (26)

26. Boston Bruins.  Five straight games scoring two goals or less. (23)

27. Montreal Canadiens.  Julien struggling to get through to his team. (27)

28. Edmonton Oilers.  McDavid gets an NBCSN game Tuesday in St. Louis before Friday's trip to Buffalo. (28)

29. Florida Panthers. Luongo's blanking of Sharks is 74th career shutout, extending lead among active players. (29)

30. Buffalo Sabres. Only consolation to season so far: At least Amerks are winning. (30)

31. Arizona Coyotes. Somehow managed first regulation win of the season, in Montreal. (31)
