New Runner's Roost owner, an employee, says store's 'core values and traditions' will remain

Runner's Roost, a popular athletic footwear store in Orchard Park, has been bought out by one of its employees.

Michelle Fox, who has worked at the store for 10 years, acquired 100 percent of D.J.B. Shoes' stock. D.J.B. Shoes is Runner's Roost's parent company.

Fox, an experienced runner, said she will keep the store's "core values and traditions" alive and does not plan to make any changes in the way the store serves customers. She has coached cross country at Niagara University, Daemen College and for various local running clubs.

Runner's Roost opened in 1983.
