Police tell city lawmakers what to do if a shooter enters Council chambers

Two Buffalo police officers Tuesday presented the Common Council with instructions on what to do if a shooter enters the Council Chambers of City Hall.

“Run. Hide. Fight,” Detective Sgt. Cedric Holloway told the council members.

He and Officer Terry Dolan also presented a training video.

The goal is to keep the Council Chambers safe, Common Council President Darius G. Pridgen said.

“We want protect those who work and visit" City Hall, Pridgen said.

“This unfortunately is the reality we live in,” he added. “I think we are being responsible with this training.”
