[BN] Blitz newsletter: Is the Bills' offense handcuffing Tyrod Taylor?

The Bills' offense this season has not seemed to play to the strengths of quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who is a dynamic playmaker but not an elite pocket passer.

Opponents continue to boast that they made Taylor "be a quarterback," and that means that if the Bills aren't willing to let Tyrod be Tyrod, they're essentially playing into their opponents' hands, Vic Carucci wrote Tuesday. Find out more of his reasoning in his Bills analysis.

Bills cut Worthy: The Bills made a switch at defensive tackle, bringing back Deandre Coleman and releasing Jerel Worthy.

Terry Pegula and the Bills presented a local veteran with a service dog, Rebel: Retired United States Marine Corps Master Sgt. James Kozma of Alden had been on the waiting list for a service dog for almost two years before getting one Sunday. “I think it was easier to get in the military and fill out an application for security clearance than to get a service dog,” Kozma joked.

Playoff odds: The Bills playoff odds dropped below 50 percent after their latest loss, but they are still in line with other wild-card contenders. Bills fans should seemingly root against the Titans and Ravens.

Catching up with Telesco: Chargers GM Tom Telesco is a WNY native and a St. Francis grad. He joined "The Bucky and Sully Show" this week. "We know Buffalo travels well, including my family," he said. "They're coming out to the game, but they will be wearing Charger gear or else they will not be in the stands for the game."

Bills streaker inspires T-shirt to benefit City Mission: There's some level of irony in making an article of clothing to honor a streaker, but you can buy a shirt memorializing Sunday's streaker for a good cause. Meanwhile, the streaker pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday.

Tyrod Taylor is still the NFL's career leader in interception percentage*: Taylor threw an interception Sunday that put his record in jeopardy, but he still has an edge on Aaron Rodgers by the slimmest of margins.

Trivia: Who was the QB for the Chargers the last time they played the Bills in the playoffs? (Hint: It was in the early '80s.)

Lorenzo Alexander was nominated for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award: The winner will be announced in February.

LeSean Report: There's room for improvement as McCoy's impact was limited in blowout vs. Saints.

Tre'Davious Tracker: White's quality outing vs. Saints was overshadowed by the rest of the Bills defense.

This week's announcers: Myers and Johnston have the call on FOX.

Chargers game weather: Temperatures will be in the 60s.
