Kenmore and Town of Tonawanda celebrate the holiday events

The holidays begin on Dec. 1 when Santa Claus arrives at the Village Green in front of the Kenmore/Town of Tonawanda Municipal Hall, 2919 Delaware Road.

The free event begins at 6:30 p.m. with hot chocolate and doughnuts, trivia and prizes and caroling. Santa arrives by fire truck at 7 p.m. to light the tree and will receive visitors inside the Municipal Building. The entertainment includes magician Dave Jeffers and live music by The Lake Effect, as well as horse-drawn wagon rides until 8:30 p.m.

A Santa Breakfast is scheduled at 9 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Town of Tonawanda Senior Center, 291 Ensminger Road. The family event includes breakfast, a reading of "The Night Before Christmas," by Mrs. Claus, a magic show and a picture on Santa's lap. The cost is $5. You can register before Dec. 6 at  Tonawanda recreation sites and the senior center.
