Drugs, burglary, ID theft: Lockport man faces prison for three crimes

Nikita T. Jones of Lockport, who already was awaiting sentencing for selling heroin, added two more guilty pleas to his criminal resume Monday.

Jones, 29, of Chapel Street, is headed for state prison after admitting to third-degree identity theft for using a stolen credit card to make $190 in purchases at a Lockport convenience store Aug. 10. He also pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary for breaking into his grandmother's house on Chestnut Street in Lockport Aug. 22 in an effort to steal money.

Jones washed out of the court-supervised drug treatment program he entered after pleading guilty to the March 2014 heroin deal.

Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III agreed to sentence Jones concurrently on all three cases Jan. 11, making the maximum term nine years. Jones was held without bail.
