Buffalo delays start of winter parking rules on bus routes

Winter parking rules on bus routes in Buffalo won't go into effect at least until Nov. 22, the city announced Tuesday.

The regulations were slated to go into effect at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, but are being delayed based on weather forecasts, a city spokesman said.

Winter parking restrictions on bus routes are in effect from 1:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. until April 1.

Buffalo is the latest municipality in Western New York to delay its winter parking rules. Street-by-street rules in Buffalo are available here.

The enforcement of winter parking rules has been delayed until Nov. 22 in the Town of Tonawanda and until Dec. 1 in Cheektowaga and the Village of Kenmore.

They go into effect Wednesday in Depew and West Seneca.

Winter parking rules went into effect Nov. 1 in Amherst, the Town of Hamburg and the Village of Hamburg. They're also already in effect in the City of Tonawanda.
