State Police arrest 5 on DWI-related charges since Saturday

Four people were arrested Saturday and one Monday on charges related to driving while intoxicated, according to State Police.

Michael P. Gagliardi, 48, of Lockport, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and making an unsafe lane change on Route 31 in the Town of Lockport, State Police said.

Richard E. Ponter, 51, of Gasport, was charged Saturday with DWI, failing to keep right, making an unsafe lane change and driving to the left of pavement markings on Day Road in the Town of Lockport, State Police said.

Juan A. Claudio, 49, of Akron, was charged Saturday with aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, using a vehicle without an interlock device and standing on a highway, State Police said.

Sabrina L. Kilbury, 34, of Lockport, was charged Saturday with DWI, failing to keep right, driving to the left of pavement markings and making an unsafe lane change after troopers allegedly found her vehicle in a ditch on Rochester Road in Royalton, State Police said.

Peter J. Ackerman, 42, of North Tonawanda, was charged Monday with aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, using a vehicle without an interlock device, making an unsafe lane change, insufficient use of a turn signal, driving on a sidewalk and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, State Police said.
