Candlelight vigil to raise awareness about runaway and homeless youths

A candlelight vigil is planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Compass House to raise awareness about runaways and homeless youths.

Compass House, located at 1451 Main St., Buffalo, provides temporary shelter for youths ages 12 to 17 and case management, independent living help, care management and rapid-rehousing for people up to the age of 24.

The event on Wednesday will include former Compass House clients telling their stories. A candlelight vigil and a moment of silence will follow.
