Bobcat of Buffalo receives tax break for new location

Bobcat of Buffalo, a heavy equipment dealer in the Town of Lockport, will move across the road to Pendleton with the help of a tax incentive package approved Wednesday by the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency.

The dealership, now located at 6511 S. Transit Road, will move to the former Eagle Crest golf driving range at 6830 S. Transit Road. It will build an addition to the former pro shop, creating a 16,200-square-foot sales and repair facility.

The NCIDA granted Bobcat a 10-year property tax reduction, an exemption on paying sales tax on building materials, equipment and furnishings for the new store, and an exemption on mortgage recording taxes. The business will save an estimated $214,000 over 10 years on its $2.37 million project. Three jobs are to be created.
