White deer tours set to begin

It’s finally happening. White Deer Tours of the former Seneca Army Depot in Romulus will be starting up regular year-round tours on Nov. 16. A 90-minute guided tour will help show off the world’s largest population of white deer, as well as other attractions within the compound. Tours will be open from Thursday to Sunday, utilizing 25-passenger tour buses.

“We’ve been working for years to make this happen,” said Dennis Money, president of Seneca White Deer. “Now we have a year-round program of tours that will interest nature lovers, military history buffs and people who just want to know what’s behind those fences.” Reservations for tours can be made online at www.senecawhitedeer.org.
